Where did my solid foundation go when I was away? Did I get rid of it when I was pursuing Shelby and was deceived? All that I know is that despite the circumstances God still loves me and has left a trail explaining more about who he is to me. Did he even ask me to write my book? What is my pursuit of the Holy Spirit hint at when it asked me to leave college?
Luke Walkthrough Continued
Next, I am continuing my Luke Walkthrough, this is the seventh part following after A Tree and Its Fruit. The passage is taken from the end of Luke Chapter 6 of The Book.
Building on a Solid Foundation
“So why do you call me ‘Lord,’ when you will not obey me? I will show you what it is like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then obeys me. It is like a person who builds a house on a strong foundation laid upon the underlying rock. When the floodwater rise and break against the house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who listens and does not obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will crumble into a heap of ruins.”
Around late February last year, I heard a loud voice telling me to go live with her by the end of a year’s time. Obeying God’s voice is difficult, but was that the Holy Spirit or the tempter? That voice attempting to marry us on the first day, was that too the tempter or was it God’s voice nudging me to do what I otherwise would not?
Lastly, all my experiences with Shelby will not be in vein and she was just as confused as I was. I learned that the way I loved her so much was also how much God loved me. He also loves each and every one of us this way and rejoices every time we grow or learn a new lesson. So I will be posting the Agape Love List to remember what God has taught me.
